We started making our own bread a few months ago, never tried a bread machine though.  Here is a pic of Tommy's  Valentine's Day 'Themed Bread'

 

I'll be interested to see what he comes up with for Easter, egg shaped is way ttoo easy, i'll be voting for a bunny

'Fraid I like to make my bread without the aid of a breadmaker, nothing against them, just enjoy the whole mixing, kneading (or should that be the punching the hell out of it), watching it rise part of the process.

Know where you are coming from, we used to mix ourselves but time is an issue now with brats running around everywhere so to be able to load the machine at night before bed time and wake up to the smell of fresh bread, its a truly magic moment that you cant do by mixing yourself, unless you get up and mix and sit around while it is proving then get to baking and go back to bed, no thanks.
