I consulted my urban dictionary, still confused.  Scarf, yeh, but snarf?
What do you mean mushy?

snarf! hmm, maybe its a made-up word.

Imagine theres a pie. A cherry pie, for the sake of argument. Someone's eating it. They've forgotten their spoon.  In the time taken for them to go into the kitchen to get a spoon and sit down, you've snarfed the lot. It is gone.

I have found that, for me, the best way to freeze cabbage is to first dehydrate it. It doesn't have to be fully dehydrated, but at least get most of the moisture out of it. I then vacuum seal it. It will save space in your freezer and is great for soups and stir fry. It takes a little bit of work but is well worth the effort. Hope this helps someone.
