Do you mean leeks you planted in autumn for eating in spring? If so they do run to seed about now - as we move into summer.
If you've not long planted them, then it is more of a mystery  ???

My remaining  leeks were starting to go over the last couple of weeks, dug them up , some wouldn't slice so got sent to the compost and the ' useables ' have gone in the freezer.
One of the many pleasures of proper fresh veg is the smell of fresh leek , wonderful!!
we also rescue rabbits and guinea pigs, grow own veg

For my leeks I sow in late April and plant out at end of May early June when they are the size and thickness of a pencil.
I harvest them from late October to early May.
My ones are always Musselburgh.

Have heard of some sowing in Autumn, suppose down here in Hampshire with our mild winters, they may work like that. But do not know anyone who does.
