Just tripped over mention of a thing called a Honeyberry - edible form of honeysuckle. Looks like a cylindrical blueberry. I read that it flowers (green flowers!?!?) in winter. So...does this mean that it fruits in winter? Does anyone know anything about this thing?

I think mine had fruit on around Mar/ April this year. It has taken five years to fruit. The fruit were tiny and not great but hoping it was because I heaved them up as I was redoing the veg patch. Also you should have two in order to get fruit.

I have 3 honeyberry bushes, but am about to remove them - they flower early (they're originally from Siberia, so very hardy!) and fruit relatively early (May, I'd say - definitely not winter! In any case, it would be difficult for them to be pollinated without bees etc in winter). The reason I'm taking them out, is that they (in my opinion) don't taste very nice!!
