for me to sow my sweetcorn and my first squash.   It's about 30 days to historical last frost and if its a bit inclement I'll be able to stretch things out a bit. Sweetcorn in root trainers squash in pots.

I was just thinking that! It's not been the warmest or sunniest two weeks since I sowed a lot of seeds but I think I can risk some sweetcorn now.

I sowed mine on Sunday - a bit earlier than usual but it has been SO warm here and the mid range forecast looks similar. The down side is that I am wondering if all this warmth is affecting the germination of my brassicas as it has been a week and not one has germinated yet and I am getting behind

I sowed mine in toilet rolls last night after reading this thread. I'm always very confused by garden centres selling plug plants that we haven't even sown yet. If it's so early do they ever survive when people buy them and plant the out?

We have about 35 sweetcorn seedlings which are in the greenhouse now. They're about a couple of inches high, and kept under strict supervision...

They're possibly a little early, but as we're here watching them, they get plenty of TLC!
