i seem to have loads chickweed this year    can u dig this in or should i remove it

If it's already flowered and produced seeds (which happens while your back's turned  ) you might as well dig it in, but you can expect to see another good 'crop' next year - turning it in so it's buried quite deeply will at least make life more difficult for buried seeds, although in the process you may well bring other previously buried seeds nearer to the surface! 

If you weed them out don't put them on the compost heap unless you are confident it will reach temperatures high enough to kill the seeds, although by now they will probably have been shed all over the place anyway.

At least it's 'only' an annual and not marestail or bindweed!

It's green manure - just dig it in

last winter when I was a little short on greens to feed the chickens, I was glad of a bed full of chickweed LOL

You can also add it to salads.
