Please can anyone tell if it is to early to purchase POL chickens, and recommend  a good supplier in Yorkshire, many thank    :D RDAitch

It's more if they are available to be honest, than time of year.

I don't know of any suppliers your way up, as far as I know granniannie has POL ready now but she's in Lincolnshire LINK  :D:

There is a list of breeders in the practical Poultry Magazine.  There are 40 listed in Yorks.  Where are you near to.

You just put in your postcode and how far you are willing to travel and it tells you how many and who is in that area, but it only shows registered pol keepers.

There one at Doncaasater and Harrogate but a lot on the list are just phone numbers.

You could try a google but if you PM me your address. I'll photocopy the PP list and pop it in the post for you.  :D
