Yes, we've had more this year than usual.  Most of my pak choi, which I haven't grown before are kapput, but the chickens won't mind half eaten leaves!

I was watching the scene in Harry Potter where Ron Weasley keeps throwing up slugs and slime into a bucket, I had to run to the bathroom quick as I was violently sick.

Ginger people really should be kept off the TV, for God's sake

I know it is expensive but looking at the number of slugs around I have gone for a packet of nemaslug this year. I just couldn’t bear putting in all the effort of planting up my raised beds only to feed them

I got one pack of nemaslug but it only lasts for six weeks and they are back.  I know stuff is germinating but then the seedlings just disappear again.  Thing is, most of the seed only cost me 50p a packet so this year is almost an experiment to see what might grow.  I am not convinced now of the eco-credentials of iron phosphate slug pellets.  But it is shocking and demoralising to have stuff just decimated like this.  Well it's worse than decimation, it's carnage.
