my buff Orpington has reared 2 speckled marans they are coming up to six weeks old but this morning when I checked on them she had laid her first egg it is like she has just snapped out of the broody stage what should I do with her should I leave them together or split them up

If they are fully feathered they will be fine on their own at this time of the year.  You might find that she will stress though if you separate them so it is a case of try it and see.  Your other option is to put her somewhere quiet and see if she will eat some layers pellets on a morning and put her back with the chicks after her feed.  If she is eating medicated feed you will not be able to eat her eggs.
