Celeriac RIP
« on: June 13, 2013, 17:40 »
So my 40 odd celeriacs that were sown back in Feb and thinned out the other week have, apart from a couple, suddenly been nibbled in the greenhouse. Even though ant powder and slug pellets were down.

They Were doing well the other day, although by no means large seedlings at all sadly but very "gutting". Esp as it is too late to sow more.

Oh well.

Sorry to hear that but blimey for 40 odd plants to be eaten in a week you've either got an army of slugs and snails or you left the door open so that blackbirds can get in? They can do a lot of damage in a short space of time. You can probably still buy some plants at the garden centre. But it's a lesson to be learned from experience. You have to check them every day and lift the pots to look underneath and round the rims etc.
