I have a large sack of what was decorative bark (from b&q) its been in the sack for at a guess 2years.... so it looks and feels like compost.  Can i dig this to my beds or is it best just to use it as mulch around my fruit bushes? or can i use it to pot plants??  or all of the above?  the sack falling apart and its so heavy i cant move it.

Put it where it is needed the most, but if it is going in pot's make sure to add some decent compost and fertilizer.

I too would blend it in with some good soil or a bit of rotted manure. In itself it has little value other than texture for the soil.

I had an area of play bark where we used to sit and when i decided to change it to a veg plot I found it improved the soil structure brilliantly.
