 I had a 3/4  packet of parsnip seeds left over from last year .

 I'd also read that parsnip seeds saved didn't have a particularly good germination rate.
 
 I sowed all the seeds from the pack,not expecting good results ,however approx 70 -80%

 germinated ,although slightly slow.I think however for the price of a pack of seeds I won't be trying it again,just in case .

As some of you may remember I did a old seed trial this year, 1 new packet, 1 last year seeds and one 2 year old seed.

this years seed and last years seed chitted was no different (gladiator) but 2 year seed only gave me 50% approx germination.

Of the snips that were then transplanted (pre chit method) this year seed has produced a tad more than that of last years seed.

Both this and last years have grown on to be about the same size and weight thus far.

I would suggest that if kept correctly the seed will be good for one year then become less viable there after.
