Relocating PSB
« on: October 04, 2012, 10:59 »
I bought some PSB plants from Mr Foth's a few weeks back and we were out when the postie delivered which meant they were in the sorting office over August Bank Holiday. When I finally got them they were very yellow and sad looking. Anyway I heeled them in all about 6" apart about 6" from my leeks just to rejuvenate them. Well, rejuvenated they are and are nearly a 8/9" tall and vigorously growing. Question is can I relocate them without stunting them. I have some free space in another raised bed where I really want them. I have heard moving them is something they hate... Help!!!

If you're going to move them and have them not notice then you need to do it as quickly as possible. As the roots get more established it'll become harder to shift them without them being affected.

Keep them well watered and I would stake them to prevent wind rock.
