The allotment was starting to take shape but then the way the weathers has been n Liverpool the last few weeks it has Put things on a go slow cos there's only so many things you can do when it's bucketing down with torrential rain, so nothing's been done for a while, so when I went round after a few weeks away I was shocked about how much weed had taken over,
This was 2 weeks ago

 
And this is today!


I was shocked how much had come through!
The worse thing is the plot had NO Marestail but now the whole thing is completely covered in it!
So iv been doing my research and found a produce called Kurtail or somethin am just wondering if anyone has used it before I pay out £30, thanks for listening me ramble on

I am afraid that weeds on allotments have a nasty habit of doing that! They seem to be able to grow like that over night, never mind a few weeks! And as lots of others have noted on different threads, it does seem to be an exceptionally good year for weeds!
Unfortunately I don't know anything about Kurtail (and don't use weed killers myself anyway), I know there is a very long thread on here discussing marestail! I am sure someone will have tried the product and be able to help.

I believe this product is for professional use only, so if you as an amateur are applying the weedkiller yourself, you'll have to use a different chemical such as glyphosate.
