morning all,,my tomato plants are getting very big, can i put them out on the plot yet,

Are your night time temperatures up around 10C yet?

If not I wouldn't even think about it, they'll go blue and just stop growing.

Another month probably for me.

the next week or so is predicted 11c 9c 7c 7 c 9c 10c  ect,,so wait i guess  ty    DD

well im glad someones having some luck with their toms - im not

Even if the nightime temp for the next fortnight was 10 degrees, i would still not put them out. Things like wind chills and such like all have a big effect on toms. I would leave it until the end of may.

Next weeks night time temps where I am is forecast to be freezing and below! Mixed with the strong winds, will "feel like" -8 on one of the nights!! Also snow showers between 9th & 12th may!! And yet, it's been lovely today, wee bit breezy but really warm sunshine
