what are these?

planted them last summer and cant remember what they are, red/black current/berry bushes.
also when can they be moved and do i need to do anything with them right now?
these 2 take all my time, whatever is left the veggies get, poor hubby is at the end of the queue.

They do look like currant bushes but which is difficult to tell at this time of year. They should be moved when they are dormant, in winter.  A dusting of Blood, Fish and Bonemeal, or a handfull of chicken manure pellets will feed them up.        Cheers,     Tony.

Easy way to tell if they are black or red currants -- smell the leaves.

Blackcurrant leaves smell very strongly of blackcurrants!!

and as Kleftiwallah said, not the time to move them, and  abit of a feed would not go amiss.

Thye look fine, with flowers showing, so remember to net them once you can see green berries, as otherwise you will have grown these for the birds  :lol:

thank you, yeh i was sniffing the leaves, hubby wondered what i was doing :wacko:
bother bother bother one of them is in the way of the raised veggie bed we are putting in for this year  :(
bed will have to wait now :(
