Funny you should mention pink as thats the colours my girls want to paint the coop, lol.
Barabell - Black Rock
Snowball - Light Sussex X
Peigi - Leghorn X
Clarabell - Columbian Black Tail
Bluebelle & Floraidh - Bluebelles

1 Golden Danio and 2 Zebra Danios

Trying to persuade hubby to get me a Border Terrier

I doubt the chooks will care about the colour!

Re creosote - not the best round animals. If you did use it you would need to leave the coop for weeks to give the fumes time to subside. Personally I would use a bat-friendly product as previously mentioned.

Slurry mix recipe highly recommended on here as a preventative. :) :)
Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted!!

No the chooks won't mind about the colour but my daughters will.

I was considering using creosote because the coop will be empty for the next few weeks or so and could air but seeing as I've now been advised using it, I shall be using something else.

Yup, got the slurry mix written down and have now ordered all the products for it   :)

I think Poultry Shield will sort the mould, plus it'll see off any mites and has a bactericide as well. A 500 ml bottle will dilute down lasting for ages and ages! Well worth putting in your armoury...we never ever see red mmites and I put this down to using Poultry Shield everytime I clean the henhouse i.e. a couple of times a week.

Enjoy your hens!
