Club root
« on: August 10, 2011, 13:29 »
Hi all.

Just taken on my first plot. The previous owner has told me that there is club root on the plot. I was really looking forward to growing brassicas next year and now it would appear that I cant. Any advice?

not terminal at all....It just needs more effort to grow brassicas!

Lots of plots have it.
Lots of lime and one of the many resistant varieties and you stand a good chance ;)

I've got it - well at least my plot has - follow the link that mos gave and you'll be OK. I've had some cracking "Clapton" caulis.
Did it really tell you to do THAT on the packet?

I've grown some huge caulis & cabbages (see my avatar  :)). My calabrese did well til it went to seed. You'll be fine  ;).
