Gross question coming up.

Can red mites or any other chicken based mites be passed on to humans? I so what symptoms are they?

They make you itch, that's all!  I think some really sensitive people could come out in a rash, but we never have!

When we've cleaned out a mite infested coop, we come in the back door where the washing machine is, chuck all our clothes inside, then go up and have a shower!

OH YES!   ;) ;)

I was only saying to Brian yesterday, that when I was a child, and even when Brian and I kept chooks in Essex, we never saw a redmite at all!

Then I remembered why!

That was before they banned the general use of creosote!
