I can say for certain they are not truffles -- trufles don't have sporelike bits inside like this  :blink:

They are probably not true puff balls exactly but one of the false puffball (earthballs) Scleroderma family, but without looking at the spores undera microscope, not sure an exact id is possible, sorry.

Don't eat them, as many earthballs (unlike puffballs) are actually poisonous
