Yes.  Anytime between now and early December works for me.

You might want to try a cover crop to suppress late-season weeds.  Fenugreek is good since it is edible + frost kills any that you don't eat.

What's that all about then?
You plant the garlic , then plant a covercrop at the same time??
Good beer, good BBQ and good friends.

Yup, plant your garlic in the usual way.  Broadcast fenugreek seeds fairly thinly over the same area and rake in.

Fenugreek greens are edible from seedling stage right through until approx 6" high (more if you want to dry the leaves for kasuri)

And Fenugreek is very good for helping nursing mothers boost their milk supply too. it makes your skin smell and taste like maple syrup apparantly!!

Might do that.. do we buy seeds online??
and will the frost kill it properly WG? it won't come back next year??

Good info on the breastmilk.  Mrs Golf (midwife) will be interested in that.

You can plant the stuff you buy at Asian grocery stores.  Very cheap.

It is always killed off before Christmas for me but you will note my northerly location.  Seems like the first few decent frosts kills fenugreek whereas coriander (especially youngish plants) will survive through extreme cold.

£1.99 would buy you almost a kilo at an Asian store.
