Eggs pipped
« on: May 13, 2011, 17:08 »
Ok I have read so much about incubation etc and I know people get impatient when day 21 comes. My question is though..... two eggs pipped hours and hours ago, just coming up for 24 hours. Its more of a breakthrough than a hole. As though a tiny star shape has been pressed outwards. Since then all is quiet and I have just gone into day 22 by one hour. Is that it, have they died or a I being impatient  :(

Sorry I thought I had mentioned incubator within the post. They are in the incubator and just gone into day 22. Having huge probs regulating the humidity, especially as it says not to lift lid. Currently around 58 humidity. 12  eggs were set and as I have said only two showing shell disturbance.

Eggs can take anything up to the 26th day to hatch, so be prepared for a long wait! I know I am always clock watching when my eggs are due, checking the incy every hour or so, so sit back and relax!
