Always willing to share a gardening idea .
« on: April 03, 2011, 13:17 »

Blue containers used to contain supermarket mushrooms holes melted in base by soldering iron.

Got an offcut of makralon / perspex and a few dozen domehead ally' rivets add an 'andle and there you are.

Yellow dish easy to spot the seeds in there, only a few each time and finally a 'pooter' to transfer the seed from the dish to the imprints made in the soil by the rivets.

The seeds are given maximum area for growth without root tangle.

Some clear plastic food trays make excellent lids to these mini propagators.

...and you won't have to faff about cleaning and sterilizng them at the end of the year - just chuck them out and get some more. Excellent..!

For my leeks in litter trays, I thought about hammering nails through a bit of wood but then couldn't be a***d. The difference between  success and failure is often about who can be a***d...
