Grape vines - Frost Hardy?
« on: March 19, 2011, 17:05 »
How frost hardy are grape vines? Mine have sprouted leaves and I want to move them from my unheated (and frankly not very weatherproof) greenhouse to their growing positions.

Is this OK to do?

Mine has been out all winter and is sprouting so I would say they'll be fine. I'd just recommend hardening them off over a few nights to get them used to the change in temperatures if I were you.

Our;s is hardy but nowhere near sprouting leaves yet. I should imagine the leaves will get scorched outside as we are still getting freezing temps of -3 at times.

Someone will know better than me! :D
