wiggly thing in our plums

today we picked our plums not a massive haul but it was our first off this tree , hubby tryed one and it looked great then handed it to me to finish off but mine had a bit of meat wriggling around in it, so cut open another at this rate i will have to buy some plums so i can make some jam.

Nothing worse than finding a fruit fly maggot in your plum ... except maybe finding half a fruit fly maggot in your plum

only found whole ones .
is there any precautions we can take :?:
also dad some wigglies in some figs .
