Just managed to give the girls their first dose of Antibiotics with a pipette.  It wasn't to bad and don't think much missed (unless they spat it out) but does anyone have any tips to make it easier? I think my long thumbnail helped in opening their beaks

I always use a syringe but do still have to use a finger to hold their beak open.

Sorry it was a syringe.  I worked out a plan before I got them in. Had Hubby on hard chair with his legs closed and he held down their wings.  I used my long thumb nail and gently pushed it into their beaks and then twisted it. Kept it there until I squished the syringe slowly into their mouths (am glad I stopped biting my nails a year ago).  Am expecting further resistance tomorrow because they will know whats coming.

Wait til dusk when they go to bed. They are docile then and can be handled much easier

And don't let the stress drive you into biting your nails again (at least, not at the moment!)
