After effects of fox attack?
« on: March 17, 2011, 20:29 »
4 weeks ago on Saturday we had a fox attack,  >:( since then the ladies have not laid particularly well.  Initially we put it down to shock from the attack but it's now 4 weeks later.  They were all wormed 6 weeks ago; egg production before the attack was on the increase.  I have 4 Light Sussex that only came into POL in January, the others are just over 2 years old (hybrids) so I am expecting their laying to decrease.  The older hens all moulted at the end of last year.

Could this still be the after effects of the attack or should I be looking for something else?

Thanks
Melody

the shock could still be affecting them, also if the fox is still prowling around then this could be stressing them.
Staffies are softer than you think.
