The few times we have given up the TV completely, we have always had a reminder and a rep come knocking on our door for not having a license.

Quite funny when they can't find a TV set and they think you have sent it round next door!

Two years on and they're still after me! This arrived today with the right address, but I don't know any Mr. Smith!

Pay it gladly. Quality of all TV programmes still sticks out a mile when compared with other channels (except perhaps ch4).

Not only primetime tv you pay for but a multitude of other endeavours including radio (don't tell me R4 has the same output as your local commercial station), open university, the new natural history division in bristol etc.

The iplayer and indeed the huge leaps and bounds internet in this country has made has been largely due to the beeb's early investment and commitment to online services

People keep knocking it but if it all boils down to them looking at the money and moaning and one day it's gone...Sky/Fox UK anyone?

Personally I'd pay the fee for BBC4 alone

Nicely put Gleavo  :D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...
