hi all, went out to do the girls this morning, and two of them sounded like they were growling, they are eating and drinking ok, its just that i have not heard them do that before, is this normal !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blush: :blush: :blush:

O no, it's bad enough Loki growls when anyone knocks on the door, now my chooks might do it too :blink:

Silkies go broody at all times. They are insane chickens

Are you sure it's growling? Often I've heard hen making more of a purring sound. :)

All my 3 were broody a few weeks ago - Silky x Light ussex - and they purred when moved.  They also purr at each other and the dog and rabbits.  Think it means "get lost" or something like that.
