So sorry you lost her.    Clearly you did everything you could to try to help her, and she's had a marvellous retirement with you.

I do know just what you're going through.  I howled for a week after loosing my Alice just 9 months after rehoming.  We buried her with dignity in the garden because that's what she deserved.

After she died, everytime I went to the hen pen, I was doing a quick head count, so scared there might be another one missing from the scrum.
