I invested in a splendid new wooden  chicken house for my 7 chickens complete with indoor roosting and separate nest boxes. However 3 chickens insist on roosting outside on the roof. How can I encourage them to use the facilities provided ? The house is in a fully enclosed run with roof.

Sounds lovely,  think its just gonna be a case though of lifting them off the top and placing them where they should be for a few days until they get the idea.  nicky

Mine did that at first so I just put some buckets on the roof to make it less appealing.

 got similar problems , 5 chooks,had them 4 months since they were 13 weeks old. 2 have decided to crash out on top of coop over last 2 nights.having to pick them up and put them to bed.
