Evening all.

Something is digging up my carrots. Not the whole row, just a plant or two at a time. I suspected our dog, Spock, who is very partial to carrots and has been known to indulge his appetite in years past, but he swears (under oath) that is isn't him.

The hole isn't very big. Other things (parsnips, sweet corn, spinach, chard, salad, beetroot) are left untouched.

I have found hedgehog droppings in various parts of the garden. We have a fox family living nearby. There are many hares around here and deer. Any ideas about which varmint is responsible?

Got any badgers living nearby? They're quite partial to digging up carrots.

Could be a badger, but I suspect it's someone with long ears.
