im SOOO pleased just come back from the allotment and my chillies are growing!! i didnt realise how pleased i would be (new to all this) i was like a proud mum!

err hang on a sec... I started my stuff earlier than last year.. so how the heck do you people have stuff ready in JUNE?? I've only had rocket, herbs and spuds so far...

Maybe because it was a wee bit dry and far too in April?  I meant to plant stuff earlier, but due to OH being hurt quite badly at work, it didn't happen, so it's all gone in late  :roll:   But we're harvesting spuds, peas and the beginnings of the dwarf french beans.  My Atlantic Giant pumpkin in the poo pile has two tiny pumpkins on as well, which do get caressed on an almost daily basis  :oops:

All the stuff I did plant early went horribly wrong with the loony April drought...

That could be coz your so far up North there Sadgit, Probably just got over freezing there I reckon    You should move here in the tropical North west. Been eating tats, cauli,s, salads, beetroots, khol Rabi's etc, etc, etc.

                   your doing better than me ,havnt got any flowers on pumpkins,chillies flowering in the greenhouse,had spuds lettuce rhubarb and gooseberries. think i need to move to warmer climates
