The continuing saga  of my pumpkin plants that suddenly decided, a couple of days ago, they wanted to be courgettes (marrows). I've telephoned round all the gardening centres only to discover there are no pumpkin plants left. Is it too late to start growing them from seed, or should I just resign myself to a glut of courgettes and buying my pumpkins from the supermarket come autumn?

They grow so fast I would think that you could but maybe try the smaller variety.

Anton, I didn't plant any of my winter squash until June last year, so it's always worth trying.  I've got some Jack O Lantern seed left if you'd like some - made lovely soup!
