to be honest my BH and me dont even like courgettes, but its a good feeling when you have grown succesfully and can give them away to family, friends and neibours, i grew loads last year and got a lot of pleasure from giving them away.  ::) ::) ::)

That's the spirit!!

But.... have a look through the cooking/recipes/preserving thingymebob section on here as there are some ideas for using courgettes that make them into delicious and thoroughly scrumptious foods that have no resemblance to courgettes at all!  You might get to like eating courgette that way  ;)

I sowed mine today, far too many of course but I do like them and eat them in every way imagineable  :)  If you think you don't like them use them in the same way as carrots in a carrot cake. I grow yellow ones for this purpose as no-one can tell it's not carrot in the "carrot cake"  :D  Lovely it is too  :)

Mine are on my lounge windowsill, I sowed them 1 week ago and they only have seed leaves. With the long days and warm temps indoors they grow like the clappers.

So no, definitely not too late!

Hi all. Is it too late to start some courgettes off?

I just want to say "Patience young Skywalker".  :)

Sorry. Couldn't resist.

I have mine in an unheated greenhouse.  They are just past seed leaf stage and doing fine.  You've got plenty of time.
