This years is my first year on an allotment and so far its beebn very exciting to see my veg and fruit  sprouting and being able to take home lots of stuff.
Iv had loads of strawberries and rassberries,
But now they just dont seem to be getting ripe.
they strawbrries fruit on but they are stying green also they have large shoots spreading across the ground,  which is cool as now i got new plants for next year,
And my autum  rassberry stalks are doing the same full of green fruit and hard but not going red.
Is this normal or am i going something wrong?

Strawberries & raspberries need sunshine & warmth to ripen - first thing to ask is, what's the weather been like in your area for the past month?  If anything like here, cooler, cloudy and sometimes very wet ...

... ripening begins from about mid-August to about mid-October

my raspberries have only just set fruit so I'm not expecting to harvest anything til the end of August.

the autumn ones have only just set............but - theoretically we are still in summer
so give them a chance
