In the freezer - quite a few bags of runner beans, some chilis and some peppers.
In the cupboard - a couple of jars of green tomato chutney (would have been more but I fell asleep so it got rather concentrated), v annoying that is my whole years crop of tomatoes.  >:( 6lbs worth in two jars, it may well taste disgusting.
On the windowsill - butternut squash ripening and my outdoor chilis that I have brough indoors - they are not looking particularly healthy.
In the fridge - a bag of beetroot to make beetroot jelly with.
In the allotment - still got swiss chard, a few runner beans v slow now not expecting many more and swede.

Couple of dozen meals in the freezer from when I made up large stock pots of soups, portions of apples and pears for deserts, bags of peas, onions, carrots and garlic. Also about thirty jars of assorted pickles.

Am nearly through eating a lot of the fresh crops except for the last of the spuds, swedes and marrows - waiting to pick parsnips till the first frost and there should be purple sprouted broccoli, spring cabbage and cauliflowers to come.

That's a better variety than was left at this time last year. But then it's been a better year for productivity too.

Harvest festival's gone! I'm gradually bringing them back from the plot a dozen at a time.

24 home so far, a quick count up of the remainder revealed at least 50 from those I could see.

One for dinner today, I given one away, so really it might only be 48.

Then there's the wannabe courgettes called marrows and the 6 pumpkins on the driveway.

I'm not that organised to list stuff, I like rootling down the bottom of the freezer in January & February and finding a surprise bag of beans.

Think I have some 2007 plums, and some 2008 broad beans down there somewhere  :D

OOh! Blackcurrant sorbet sounds very nice!

I can add elderberry with  clove and ginger syryp to my list as of this morning. I made a litre of it. It is supposed to keep colds at bay, i hope it works.

Soulmate!!  I had to sort freezers yesterday (long story!) and found pasta sauces and damsons and ..... from 2008 and 07.  I'm reasonably good at churning meat and fish but fruit and veg is trickier.  The odd bag of 07 celery I found is in the slow cooker now.  Thought it was time.
