Hi,
My 9 week old welsh harlequin duckling which have only just fully feathered up are starting to loose their feathers again!
Is this normal so early on?
When they have finished shedding their feathers will their new coat be their final coat and does what mean I will be able to tell their sex?

I think ducks are the same as chickens in that they shed their baby feathers from about 9-10 wks and have their final adult plummage by about 16-18 wks!

That's right. Having developed their juvenile plummage they moult fairly quickling into nuptial plummage and you will be able to tell who is male and female if their voices haven't already given it away.

You should be able to tell by the sounds they make by 9 weeks and also the size comparison of the bill and head shape.
