It looks as though it's just the lower leaves - could just be old age?

Are you getting water onto the leaves at all, either through water or dripping down?  Could be getting scorched if the sun shines whilst the leaf is wet.

Don't know whether anyone else has any ideas?
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

Hi

Don't know about the peppers, but my cucumbers go a bit like that.  I carry on watering and feeding them, and get re-growth at top of plant, whilst the bottom dies off a bit.  I have had two cucumbers at a time from my plants, whilst they are growing I probably have had half a dozen little ones form on each plant, but they go yellow and soggy, then when I pick the two healthy ones, two others form and grow on.  Mine are burpless and a miniature variety (don't know the name).  I have two in a little plastic seedhouse with the shelving removed. and two in the garden.  I have also had to squish the snails that like to get in the pot!!

Hope that helps a bit - good luck with then!

Dont worry about the cucumbers. The lower leaves always die off as the plant grows up..

Mine are the same but still producing huge cucumbers..yummy!

Thanks for the replies.

I still have fruit being produced on the cukes so don't suppose I should worry too much.  It isn't water getting on the leaves or direct sun so maybe it is just old age.

The peppers however, the red and orange ones seem to be doing quite well, a few rotton fruits but the green pepper plants now have no leaves left on them at all and the fruit that didn't get picked yet have fallen off and the plants are bare........... i'm thinking maybe they have decided they are finished for this year.
