hi,our young cockerels (4 OF) have started flying on top of there house  onto my daughters wendyhouse and then over a 8ft fence that lands them in the garden.
how can i stop them from doing this.
we also have 4 dogs that have free reign on the garden,they just love chicken,cooked or raw,feathers or not.they aint fussy.
any suggestions?

Poppie, have you clipped one of their wings? They will still be able to fly but not as well as they will be unbalanced. After moulting you clip the opposite side wing  . It would be best if you could move your daughters wendy house so that when they leap off it they cant make it over to the fence. Joyful xx

havent clipped there wings,this is the first time since i have been keeping chickens that any of them have bothered.think it maybe the naughty school boy in them.
will try clipping wings first,oh wont be happy if have to move wendy house.(it would mean taking the fence down)oops!!

If you cant move the wendy house how about putting some mesh or wire on top and leaning in towards the wendy house - sort of like you see to keep vandals out (if you understand how I mean if not I will explain next week when we meet  )
