Help!  Can anyone suggest what is going on with my sweetcorn?  I planted a block of 19 (one hadn't germinated) and now two are looking like they have collapsed.  I dug one up with a good bit of soil so that I could check for any wee beasties - none in sight but the root did look like it had been snipped off or rotted off.

sweetcorn seed will not tolerate damp and/or cold soil . Did you sow direct or in a greenhouse/windowsill?

And did you harden them off properly ??
