Mine are pathetic!

I've got the tassles but no sign of any cobs at all.

Oh well, there is still time....
Lotty holder since Aug 09... I've FINALLY finished clearing it! On with the p.lanting  ....

Mixed with mine but I am trying threee growing methods this year. I always plant through weed fabric into a bed of manure on rough soil and give them few chicken pellets as they go in this lot is doing well. The second batch grown in the middle of the plot  into soil that has had nothing other than BFB at planting but mulched with 6ins thick fresh manure ( not touching stems) they are no too bad if a little short but sturdy plants and the third were a batch of leftovers I put in where the first broad beans were no manure nothing no mulch and after a stuggle they are trying their best but they are sheltered by the sweet pea frame I am looking forward to seeing what they all end up like. Its never the same two years in a row but thats half the fun
