does anybody know where i could get silver grey or dark Dorkings in Scotland or north of England.

Other than the supplier list on this site, Practical Poultry magazine has a breeder listings section and also a 'classifieds' section, broken down into regions.  You may find a breeder in there that can supply you.

The only supplier listed for N of England is in Blyth which is a fair way down from you and he only has hatching eggs at the moment (I know because I rang him the other day!).   I didn't ask what breed of dorking it was, but silver is the most common so probably silver.

Peter, I live in the same neck of the woods as you and was looking into pultry recently.  I got in touch with Peebles Poultry Club who were very helpful and one of it's members is able to supply me with what I need.  Although it wasn't Dorkings that I was looking for, they still might be able to advise you.
