Pooh, can't you manage 3?  Ig anything happened to one of your 2, the other one would be sooo lonely on its own until you got a replacement!

I would have to agree with Granny you should have three not two as if one dies you can not keep it on its own.  I lost 7 chickens to a fox and had to give my last chicken away till I have time to restock.  One chicken on its own will pine and pine. They are a flock bird. I know we are talk about if one dies, but its not if one dies, its when one dies.
You will not notice the difference of work needed to keep two or three chickens.

They're good little houses for the money. My biggest complaint is that there isn't much perching space for more than 2 large birds.
