Soft Shelled eggs
« on: May 09, 2009, 14:28 »
Hello everyone. It's been all going so well but I would like a little reassurance...

Enid the blue-egg laying Skyline laid a lovely egg yesterday, and another the day before... but today she laid not one but 2 small soft shelled eggs.

All the others are laying fine, and the shells on their eggs (and Enid's earlier eggs) have been just right. Do I assume that Enid just hasn't got her production sorted out exactly yet? She has only been laying 10 days.

Advice and suggestions very welcome!

Think you've got it right and it's just a blip as she settles into laying.
Be like a duck. Calm on the surface but always paddling like the dickens underneath.
