I have my cabbages, cauliflour and brocolli all indoors in trays, they are getting quite tall...should I plant them soon? I'm hardening them up at the moment.... can my beans go out too?

All but the beans can go out now, but they need hardening off first
Id wait until middle/end may where you are just in case of a frost with the beans. They will need hardening off nearer the time too

The brassicas should be outside as soon as you can harden them off - put them outside during the day, bring them in at night for a week or so, then they will be ok outdoors.

Beans are not frost hardy so do not aim to have them permanently outside until early June unless you are prepared to fleece them whenever temps at night may fall below about 6 degrees.  And again make sure they're hardened out first too.

If it's broad beans then they can go out now
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days all attack me at once...

can't see the roots!!! That doesn't make sense!!! I was thinking of the height of the beans (30cm ) and the height of the trays... I'm so new to this.... transfering pot to pot won't damage plant?

You will be fine to plant pot to pot, just be careful that you dont disturb the roots too much

Are they all in one seed tray, or does the tray have a number of subdivided cells?  If cells, how many of them are there per full size seed tray (about 8" x 12")?

Can you see little roots starting to come out of the bottom drainage holes of the seed tray?

Yes, that sounds about right  :)

As peapod says, if you don't damage the roots when putting them in a bigger pot then there should be no problems.

If they're already 12" tall, it might also be worth keeping them somewhere slightly cooler indoors until planting out in order to slow down growth for the time being.

There's still time to re-sow if something goes wrong, so don't worry!
