would climbing plants be able to climb up something like a willow/bambo screen? The plant I was hoping to use was a Jasminum Officinalis 'aureum' / Golden Jasmine.
Or are they better when in use with a net/trellis.

They will climb it, but eventually the weight will just break the bamboo, same with netting.
Better off with trellis, or stout homemade frame.
