I would personally make a ladder.
It would not have to be much one central pole and then uniform rungs nailed in there centres to the pole. You will then have the problem of teaching them to climb it!!!!!!!!!

If its only .5 of a metre off the ground, they'll probably ignore the ladder anyways and jump or fly up to their pophole!   :) :)

50cm isn't high, I should imagine they'd use it easily.  I put branches in their run so they can perch outside when they feel like it.  They enjoy it.

Hi, it might be an idea to put a step up - we have a mini pallet that they hop up onto. They seem to prefer little hops up to a wobbly climb. Having said that we have trained ours and it is good to test them a bit as it keeps them agile! Nic.

we have a piece of wood onto which we nailed bits of trim, so that they can grip when they walk up it.
(the bits were nailed on because they refused to walk up it into the house, nor down it in the morning, when it was flat: although Jessica tried it once and slipped! it was so funny  )
