I tried to look for a previously posted link on this subject but I can not seem to find it so here goes.....

I have access to a lot of manure but it is all fresh, misxed with straw.

Question: do I have to wait for it to mature or can I use it straight away.

Im sorry if this sounds like an obvious question but I am very new to all this.

Fresh manure needs to be left to rot down.

So the  answer is that It can not be used fresh at all?
while i am waiting for the fresh one to rot down, i have to find some rotten stuf. am i right?

Yep, fresh manure is to hot and can burn/damage plants.
Leave it for 6 months to rot, it should have a crumbly texture and little smell when its ready.
