What size allotment would you recommend for a first timer?

We've just got a half plot (5 rods) which measures 30ft x 45ft  I think it's going to produce plenty for us (Me and OH).

mines 60ft x 30 ft and is £30.00 per year here up north in manchester hope this helsp

Hi Aunt Sally - that sounds ok - there is only me and OH too - but I know our families will also be wanting (which is fine)

getas much as you can if you have family they are always around wanting handouts and al so friends who suddenly ask

 where you was yesterrday i called round ?
 " oh i was down my allotment " ,
,oh ou grow veggies and stuff ? "
oh yeh have done for years ......
wow well i know where to come for a free cabbage then
